Us Weekly has a really weird “exclusive” story up about Angelina Jolie’s political leanings. Apparently, Us Weekly has a source who thinks Angelina’s a chip off the old batsh-t crazy block (a.k.a. Jon Voight) and that Angelina “hates” President Obama. I’m sure he’s broken-hearted, right? I mean, what’s going to happen to Pres. Obama now? He’ll whisper to Michelle, “Once I lost La Jolie, I knew I lost middle America.” I demand that Pres. Obama pander to the Brangelunatic Voting Bloc (we‘re sizable, but crazy and fickle). I imagine him in a shirt that reads, “MRMS 4 EVA”. Here’s more:
Barack Obama does not have Angelina Jolie’s seal of approval.
“She hates him,” a source close to the U.N. goodwill ambassador, 34, tells the new issue of Us Weekly (on newsstands now).
“She’s into education and rehabilitation and thinks Obama is all about welfare and handouts. She thinks Obama is really a socialist in disguise,” adds the source.
But don’t expect to see the Salt actress rally against Democrats on Fox News like her staunch Republican father, Jon Voight.
“Angie isn’t Republican, but she thinks Obama is all smoke and mirrors,” the source says.
And those political views are putting her at odds with Brad Pitt, 45, who is a big fan of the president and even went solo to the 2008 election party in Chicago.
“They get in nasty arguments all the time about it,” says the source. “She doesn’t respect Brad when it comes to politics, but, in the end, this won’t tear them apart.”
[From Us Weekly]
Maybe this is all because Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s elbow is Team Aniston. After that incident (where Clinton missed out on the chance to stand on the same stage as Angelina because Clinton broke her elbow), I’m sure Angelina was like “This never would have happened if Lou Dobbs was Preznit!” Uh. Whatever.
In all honesty, I’ve felt for some time now that Angelina Jolie likely has some pretty neoconservative tendencies. I won’t bore everyone with Political Science crap, but basically I think Angelina is one of those activists who thinks America should be running around, saving the world one UN peacekeeping mission at a time. She has managed to be politically and socially active, yet has never vocalized support for either the Democratic or Republican party. When asked about who she would vote for last year, she hedged like a champ. I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating – I think Angelina has zero interest in vocalizing her support for any candidate or party, just because she wants the issues she cares about to be supported by every side. Brad’s a pretty big Democrat though – and I could see the two of them fighting over politics. And that’s the point of this story, isn’t it? Oh my God, “the last straw”!

Must have been a slow week if US Weekly had to run THIS for a St. Angie story. I’m sure President O really has his panties in a wad over it. Riiiiight.
Good on her, the rest of the world agrees and is of the same opinion as Ange. Obama is nothing more than an Illuminati Puppet.
This is going to be one hot thread.
Wine? Cheese? Canape?
Somehow I just appreciate not knowing her precise political leanings.
Team Aniston forever!!
I like her a little more now.
I duno wut to think. Guess I will just wait fir Cheyenne to skool me.
I don’t believe it. And even if it were true, who cares?
AJ never gives her opinion about anyone or anything so I find this story a little hard to believe. It also sounds funny that someone who has campaigned about aid to foreign countries and refugees would feel that giving a hand to people in need is a bad thing. Another bogus story about AJ, what surprise. And I will ignore the crazy illuminati nonsense.
Thanksgiving and Christmas week are usually slow on gossip but this is stupid. I remember one tabloid story where they said that Brad and Angelina got into an angry fight during the election and she threw wine in his face. Who makes this stuff up? I agree that I Angelina probably doesn’t care about political parties, just who supports her own agenda.
Lol @ Kevin. You know Cheyenne was actually IN Angelina’s voting booth, right? She held the pencil for her!
Angelina Jolie is openly a fan of Ayn Rand’s writings. I bet that Jolie is a Libertarian.
I think it is very tactful of Angelina Jolie not to pull either way, she is one smart cookie, as long as she never declares her preference she can get support for her causes across the political spectrum. It’s like being bisexual, you never lack for dates!
“basically I think Angelina is one of those activists who thinks America should be running around, saving the world one UN peacekeeping mission at a time.”
Despite the fact that we can’t afford it anymore. Something these stupid celebs seem to forget all too easily.
LOL@ Emily and Kevin.
I could have sworn that AJ was with Brad on election night in Grant Park.
I think I can safely say that very few people, who have firing synapses, are looking to her, Brad, or her father for a cogent politcal analysis. I have never understood why people think that because someone is a famous actor they are somehow sage in that arena. It is sad that in this day and age people confuse fame with knowledge. If you want real educated, thoughtful opinions (while each biased in their own way, thus reading all is a wise plan) try Heritage, Cato or Tellus, not Jolie, Voight, or Pitt.
Ok I’m french and I don’t get you. So it’s wrong when a governement tries to take measures to help the less fortunate . You see that as evil communism ?
Leticia that’s very interesting. Love someone who brings in new info. New to me anyways.
Bubulle-
“spreading the wealth” is socialistic.
That attitude is causing some major problems in France right now is it not?
wasn’t jolie supposed to play Ayn Rand in a movie?
Why fabricate stories.
Why do sites and tabs need to get hits off of Brad/Angie fake stories.
Why can’t the mags find better stories. Why can’t some people move on with their lives, it’s been 5 years.
Can’t the triangle just die already.
I find US Weekly ‘uncool’. *Winks*
I don’t believe it either, just like I don’t believe that, because Jolie was possibly interested in a film based on a book of Ayn Rand’s, that she’s a big fan of her writing. And even if the article is generally true, if James Carville and Mary Matalin have lasted this long as a couple, I doubt Pitt and Jolie are in danger.
So Republicans are “batshit crazy” ? I am not a Republican or a Democrat, I think that neoconservatism and socialism are both dangerous ways to lean – and I don’t think that Obama is a veiled socialist…he just is a socialist. @Bubulle, forcing people to pay the government to “help” others is wrong and defeats the purpose – governments are utterly inept when it comes to running programs efficiently to help the needy, and people are proven to donate far more money willingly than they are forced to give up in taxes. The government is not meant to and should not be used to run people’s lives, but rather to delegate rights to the appropriate levels of federal/state/local governments, for military protection, and to join the states economically as a nation for free trade…these are my beliefs and I’ll vote at the polls as well as voting in the most effective way possible – with how I spend. Ron Paul’s manifesto The Revolution sums me up fairly well!
Who in their right mind gives a crap what Angelina Jolie thinks???
LOL@Kevin!
The religious, neoconservative right’s beloved Jesus Christ’s teachings are socialist in principle. “I am my brother’s keeper” is one obvious example.
The measure of a society is determined by how well they treat their weakest and most vulnerable members.
That’s not ‘communism’ that’s called being civilized.
And Ayn Rand was so totally not a Libertarian.
Pfff… home wrecker say what?
“I have never understood why people think that because someone is a famous actor they are somehow sage in that arena. It is sad that in this day and age people confuse fame with knowledge.”
Indeed Taylor. Mainly because there are so many stupid people who don’t realize that the books celebs tote around so blatantly are perfectly accessable at your local bookstore or library. Celebs who brag about their connections are usually mainly ornamental types that the organizations use to get fat checks out of them.
Sorry, I have a hard time believing anything from US weekly and this story sounds lame.
Isn’t he all smoke and mirrors? He’s America’s token African American president. He hasn’t made any real changes and his peace prize may as well have been bought in order to increase the US’s profile after the PR disaster that was George W Bush.
What’s he doing about Gitmo? Nothing.
Even though this is gossip. Even though there are no facts represented here, I wouldn’t be surprised if a high percentage of Americans didn’t like Obama – but were too afraid to say it. Look at Dubya, he was ineffective. Obama is ineffective too. His ultimatum to Iran isn’t different to Dubya’s tantrum and…no one has won any war in Iraq.
“Somehow I just appreciate not knowing her precise political leanings.”
she’s more for a cause than she is for a particular political party. And truly, trillion, this is one thing I like about her.
These people are actors, they need to stick to acting and shut up about politics.
If it is true….
Obama is all about smoke and mirrors?
Isn’t Brangelina the same, Ms Jolie? Get over yourself.
I can not stand people who say ‘Obama/Bush/Clinton etc’ are to blame for everything. POTUS is a figurehead, they can only do so much. And not that much to begin with. That is the beauty and the bane of checks and balances, between the White House, congress and the Judiciary almost nothing really ever gets done. The gov’t is an amalgam of bills, points of view (good and bad), silly riders, Bridges to Nowhere (an apt description of gov’t in general) that basically illustrate the political concept of an unstoppable force vs. an immovable object. While I will admit that there are some exceptions to the rule, they are few and far between. No one person is responsible for the current situation(s) we find ourselves in, and to think so is very simplistic and counterproductive. This recession didn’t suddenly happen in the last few months, this has been in the making for a long time, we just happen to be in the throes of it right now. It will pass, they always do, simple economics… ebbs and flows.
Pres Obama is no more the second coming of Hitler/Stalin than Pres Bush was a pitchfork weilding horned devil incarnate. Both assertions are absurd. At the core, regardless of your political proclivity, both of these men and the POTUS’ prior, agree with their exact routes or not, were/are striving for the country and its citizens to succeed.
As we all should.
@ morgs and megan
Well I think I understand the difference of point of view. Well for me, helping the poorest is the state duty especially when we talk about health care. It’s called solidarity. I see health care as a right and not a privilege. You see it as a danger and think your country could bankrupt by doing so.
I read that more than 40 million people in the US don’t have health insurance and that the spending represent about 16 % of the GDP, so measures must be taken anyway.
As for the problems in my country of course there are many especially with our health care system but it’s still more efficient than the us one and I’m thanksfull it’s there.
Baho

____
I can’t help agreeing with you.
To the poster who said that it has been proven that people contribute more willingly to charity than contribute to taxes, I would just LOVE to see a citation on that “absolute fact”.
Similarly, to people who say that government is ill-equipped to manage programs for massive numbers of people’s benefit, I raise you one: and you think the kinds of private corporations that just got bailed out by the evil government because they lost all their shit are better equipped to do this?
Demo’s or Repubs (or anything in between) aside, it is important to distinguish having a safety net of basic human living conditions from having “hand-outs”, because the funny thing is that when it is you or your family in dire need, nobody (even if they voted against aid) thinks that aid is a bad idea; nobody wants to crawl quietly into a hole and die, even if keeping them alive is expensive to other people.
Complete lies.
Multi-syllable words like “rehabilitation” are beyond her.
“I think I can safely say that very few people, who have firing synapses, are looking to her, Brad, or her father for a cogent politcal analysis. I have never understood why people think that because someone is a famous actor they are somehow sage in that arena. It is sad that in this day and age people confuse fame with knowledge.”
Right on, Taylor.
I don’t care what Jon Voight, Bruce Springsteen, or any celebrity thinks about any politician. They get one vote, just like you and I and everyone else does.
Don’t stay away so freakin’ long Baho!
I love some of the sweeping generalizations going on here. I feel like I’m back in the primaries.
Firestarter, you got any of that wine left? I’m lactose intolerant, so I’ll take a pass on the cheese.
Bubelle,
I agree. No creature should be denied health care or punished if they are poor and can’t afford insurance. As a person in the health care field (sort of) I would hope and expect that all of my fellow DVM’s and MD’s would put care of other creatures before finances. I can’t tell you how many people come in, broke thinking that all they can do is put down their four legged family member because they can’t afford treatment. We take care of that, always have, always will; I will never put down an animal due to a poor pet parent, we work it out and either comp the treatment or help find a home for the animal. But for the people who can’t get preventative care, flu shots, etc. because they can’t afford insurance it is doubly bad for the population as a whole. Not only are their lives at risk but they could be walking about with treatable communicable diseases that will eventually harm the population in general, even those with insurance. Some will call me a socialist (whilst most don’t really understand what that is, but I digress) for saying this but I feel that health care falls under Locke’s addition of ‘life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness’ in the Declaration of Indepedence the ‘life’ part in particular, which isn’t usually quoted by ‘patriots’ as a socialist document.
But what the hell do I know…
only an american would think there’s something wrong with socialism
So Megan, you’re a Paultard (tm Wonkette).
Oh geez. For anyone afraid of the socialism evilsssss, hey guess what? We have a MIXED economic system. It’s part capitalism, part socialism. GASP! Most industrialized countries have a mixed system, it’s how things have been for decades upon decades now. Open a book for crying out loud.
Secondly I doubt this story is true. Jolie seems pretty silent on her exact political views, though if I had to guess I’d say she probably votes for the Democrat or independent. She certainly doesn’t strike me as a repubican. Not by any stretch of the imagination.
*hands Snowball wine bottle*
I brought plenty, drink up!
I kind of get tired of this mantra that someone is a celebrity then they don’t have a right to opinion of political or social views. Guess what, they’re US citizens, and it’s called free speech. I don’t have agree with what they (I sure as hell don’t Agree with the Voights’ views). Then again, people who complain are they ones who get upset when they don’t agree with the celebs.
If this is about intelligence, trust me, stupidity doesn’t have a specific job description. I’ve heard some celebs say smarter things than the twit sitting in the next cubicle posting on a gossip blog when they should be working, sitting on the bus or standing in line.
I understand that celebrity blog comment section aren’t a cornucopia or intelligence, but I wonder how much head banging will you do on your keyboard when celebs starts saying that regular joes don’t have the right comment on us because they’re not in showbusiness?
FINALLY AJ shows she has a brain of her own and (maybe) says something I can get behind!
And Obama is such a starfu¢ker, I’m sure he is more than a bit disappointed if it’s true.
I’m pleasently surprised by the comments! Wow! I agree with most of you- I actually like her more now. Welcome to the rest of our opinion, angie!
IIRC Angelina never said who she was backing in the last election so where did US Mag get this from?
Must be a slow week. I call bullshit on this one.
Oh Hey,
I am sorry if you got the impression that they shouldn’t have an opinion, or the right to express that opinion, I just feel it is unfortunate that their opinion is given special consideration due solely to their fame. People in general should be more jucicious about decisions than that, especially in regards to important issues. Just my very humble opinion as a regular person with no talent to speak of.
I hope that it is cool. Mea culpa.
Morgs: wasn’t jolie supposed to play Ayn Rand in a movie?
*********************************************
No. There was speculation that she would pay the lead role in “Atlas Shrugged” which was written by Ayn Rand but Jolie deep-sixed it. Now they are talking about maybe signing Charlize Theron for the part. I don’t think they’ll ever make the movie. I don’t see how they can compress a 1200 page book into a two hour movie and still stay true to the book.
oh hey – of course everyone, including celebs, are entitled to their opinion and voice. I’ve never heard anyone seriously suggest that their right to free speech be shut down.
Can’t speak for anyone else, but what I’m tired of are the celebs who think that everyone should listen to them because they’re famous, and think everyone is just dying to know what they think so they HAVE to comment on it publicly.
Remember Madonna had some negative McCain stuff in her concerts? People didn’t pay megabucks to see her political opinions, they wanted her to sing and dance and entertain them.
I guess I see it as a symptom of certain celebrities feeling like they’re more important and their opinion matters more than the rest of us.
TaylorB, you got there first and said it better than I could, again!
i like angie so much more all of a sudden! and also, i just read that she gave over $6mil to charity last year – pretty commendable
i am also not a republican, but am very disappointed by the obama administration so far and i don’t see the trend improving. it seems the majority of the country agrees.
there is a much, much bigger economic crisis coming up, hope the US pulls through.
Oh and for the record I am not ‘the twit sitting in the next cubicle posting on a gossip blog when they should be working’ I do take umbrage with that comment, not just on my part but on the behalf of the other posters here who are very bright commenters who have made their opinions clear, even while dissenting, without (for the most part) being impolite or insulting to other posters; it is a very nice example amidst the insanity and rudeness that permeates most of the ‘intertubes’ these days. An example that should be followed on more sites it seems.
Currently I am in the office with the biggest Great Dane I have ever seen, 200# with a nasty case of Hemoragic gastrointestinitis, and a bad case of fear aggression, because none of the VA’s wanted to be in the same room as him. So, here Brick and I sit until he soothes himself and sleeps. But if you would prefer to think otherwise to soothe yourself, feel free. That being said I will be here for a bit as Brick isn’t calming down very well.
If this is true, I have some new found respect for her. Hate is such a harsh word. Just because they disagree politically, doesn’t mean she hates him.
Btw, welfare was set up to help people out in the short term, not to keep adding and maintaining them longterm.
That’s all crap! Shes a Hollywood elite, her friends are big Obama supporters and she once said she was opposed to her fathers political ideas.
It’s all propaganda, to get idiots talking.
I see Us Weekly wants to outdo the other tabloids for the weekly “Angelina is an evil witch” stories.
As far as I know, she’s never talked about her political views?
whatevah . . .
Dana,
Who said otherwise?
I agree. Obama fooled me too. Shame on me. He is a charming puppet though.
Past Headlines:
Angela Jolie hates Jennifer Anniston
Angela Jolie hates Brad Pitt beard
Angela Jolie hates Democrats
Angela Jolie hates Katie Curic
Angela Jolie hates America
Angela Jolie hates Obama
The game these media houses play is a simple one:
Angel Jolie hates(insert name)
Because they know fools will take it and run with it.
Gypse wrote: “Shes a Hollywood elite, her friends are big Obama supporters and she once said she was opposed to her fathers political ideas.”
She was also married to a man with a pathological fear of antiques… I doubt she feels the same way, mere associations do not define a person.
I have a Neocon brother, a lib dem feminist mother, and a grandmother that helped found the Libertarian party in her state, while all of those points of view were equally important in their own way it doesn’t mean I carry the same views as they do. I would suspect the same goes for her.
People can associate with a variety of people, listen, absorb, and still form their own views/opinions.
This is the first time I’ve read an article about her.
Some of these hollywood people are so f*cking pretentious! Where did she earn her advanced education? Is she an actress or a wannabe scholar? I know she has reveled in some real life experiences, but where has she actually studied for any length of time that required her to actually buckle down and follow academic standards? You know the kind that we every day citizens have to follow?
I am so sick of these privileged, spoiled and pretentious actors running around espousing all of their bullsh*t opinions expecting everyone to fall at their feet because they sport some pouty lips and a killer body and have enough handlers and a**kissers to control their image. Enough already! I am so sick of the media manipulation! Puke!!!
I found proof that Angelina Jolie hates Obama – I did a search listing “Angelina Jolie political contributions” and I found that she contributed $1,300 dollars to the Obama campaign.
Please Angelina hate me too, I patiently await your hate check.
I don’t agree with with Ron Paul 100%, but yeah, overall I’m a total “paultard.” 😉 I love and use that term fairly often…
As far as what @Bubulle said in reply to my original comment – I didn’t mention healthcare so that was putting words in my mouth to assume how I think or feel regarding that issue. I just made an overall statement that it is my personal belief based on facts that government programs for the needy overspend and underperform whereas easing up on the taxes to provide those programs allows people to provide heartfelt charity which is better…again, my personal belief. If you think that government run programs are the way to go, then that’s your opinion, and that’s cool too.
There is one thing that really pissed me off and that is this:
Who gives a sh*t about what any celebrity thinks about politics? Most celebrities are idiots and I have proof, and so does everyone else who has even seen an episode of ‘Celebrity Jeopardy.’
Anyone who has seen any famous person even attempt to try to answer trivia questions that have been watered down and made easy– and then still to FAIL MISERABLY at answering any of those easy questions–would know that most famous people don’t know a damn thing about anything, and so therefore their political views are not important to anyone but themselves.
I hate it when celebrities are asked their opinions about anything even slightly intellectual. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, SHUT UP and LOOK PRETTY because we are NOT PAYING YOU TO THINK.
I feel the same way about hookers too, by the way.
@Baho. I think we agree more than we disagree. Most of the conservatives that I know want to help the poor but don’t want the government fucking it all up as they inevitably fuck up everything.
At this point though, I think it is unrealistic for people to expect the government to drop all entitlements and leave it to private entities (charities and the like) to pick up the slack. SOOO many people would fall through the cracks.
Honestly, I am not sure what the right answer is.
I knew/know very little about Ms Jolie, other than that she seems like a good mother and an affable person, so I looked her up a bit; I must confess, I am somewhat surprised that a person with so little education would be named an UN ambassador, I would think they would lean towards people with at least something beyond a basic high school education, individuals with a firm grasp on the Geneva Convention(s), a strong working knowledge of the ins and outs of the Constitution, and US foreign policy… which isn’t usually taught in high school to a strong degree. Granted, I am not familiar with the criteria involved in picking a UN ambassador.
Conservatives do not believe they should be saving the world, that is more of a liberal leaning. It always has been this way. The more conservative the less government is in anyone’s life. If you think Bush was conservative you really don’t know politics either. Oh Yea Jesus did not preach collectivism, he taught personal responsibility. I’m an anarcho capitalist and an Episcopalian for the record.
She’s that big headed, big faced girl from high school who was a dirtbag. Got lucky later.
Jesus came down very hard, very often and with a particular harshness on wealth obsession and wealth building. How one cares to interpret that is well, subjective. (pardon me for stating the obvious here) If you go thru the gospels and keep track of what he preached about, the evils of wealth building is in his top 3 subjects.
To TaylorB: I totally appreciate your p.o.v. here. I hope your outcome w/ Brick is a good one!
ggirl,
To be fair I looked her up tonight, and she has no formal education beyond high school. Not that it is a bad thing, she just chose not to go on beyond high school.
Brick is finally sleeping, thank DOG! He is cute as hell, but what a fuster foo.
I have a lap Gastropexy for a Standard Poodle named (I love this) Stanley (and it is a bitch) with GDV first thing in the AM and need some serious sleep.
Night all.
By the by, he is named ‘Brick’ becuase he once ate one (a brick, swear to god) as a pup, he is what we call an ‘indiscriminate eater’, which may explain his tends towards Hem GST.
Indeed, where is Cheyenne to tell us the truth?
Of course she doesn’t like Obama, she is in love with the Clintons and Obama thumped them. Besides, Obama is more famous than her, I doubt she loves that one bit. Joking.
Anyway, if she loved Obama, she would atleast have had a T-shirt with his name or something, we have never seen that. She is sitting on the face, but honestly, very few people care what she thinks. She is just a pretensious, ex heroin addict, baby collector, attention seeking husband snatcher. We could do without hearing what she thinks politically.
Maybe she thought O would write and invite her to the white house. Guess she is still waiting for the invite.
Although, I support team Obama, Angelina Jolie is entitled to her opinion whether anybody likes it or not. It’s the American way! Remember, it’s something called “freedom of speech”. I believe it’s guaranteed in the 1st amendment to our Constitution. Without it, there would be no Cele|bitchy.
I doubt seriously, if the vast majority of Americans form their political views based solely upon the opinions of celebrities. Not all of them are shallow and uninformed; however, their opinions reflect their personal experiences and biases like everyone else’s. It’s a free country, and if a celeb wants to become active in the political arena, so be it! Perhaps, Angelina’s eying Arnold Schwarzenegger’s job? Stranger things have happened!
Is it really fair to assume that people who don’t classify themselves as “liberal” or “democrat” do not care about helping their fellow man or less fortunate? The question is really what is the better way to do it, throught government or the private sector. I come from a middle class family that spends its Thanksgiving feeding the homesless, adopts a family every Chrstmas, goes once a month to work with the Salvation Army, gives what it can, wherever it can….we’re not obsessed with wealth building, we don’t disdain the less fortunate, we give our TIME and our MONEY and our EFFORT. We also want the government to stop taking our money. I pay 50% of my income in taxes, no joke (damn California). for what? aside from the basic benefits we derive from the armed forces, highways, schools, etc., the government on all levels keeps taking more from us and gives no tangible benefit in return. I don’t need to pay more taxes to feel I’m doing my part to aid my fellow man because….well, I actually do my part.
Neither government nor corporate America has a monopoly on greed, corruption and ineptitude – that is clear to anyone who isn’t too blind to see both sides of the debate. Both are prone to selfishness, greed and egomania that derails them from their purpose. But as a basic economic model, governments are not designed to be efficient and effective. The incentives are backwards – you have to spend your allotment or risk getting less the next time around. And at the same time, you have to show that you spent it all and didn’t achieve your goals in order to get more. Corporations (when not plundered by thieves) are designed to be as cost-efficient as possible to increase profits to expand and provide more services/goods/whatever. So which is a better model for helping the most people? One that expands, creats jobs, generates profits and sustains itself, or one that benefits from inefficiency and doesn’t need to succeed to sustain?
everyone is entitled to their opinion, but to assume you have to be a democrat or you don’t care about your fellow man is narrow-minded, inaccurate and kind of insulting.
[steps off soapbox]
AJ would only care if she could be president
ANGELINA JOLIE IS A REPRESSED REPUBLICAN … His father is a Republican, dogs are not cats …
Angelina Jolie does not like Obama, because BRAD HAS SUPPORTED HIM LIKE JENNIFER ANISTON… May be She is jealous …
And moreover, OBAMA IS EVERYTHING SHE IS NOT … OBAMA is intelligent, educated, graduate, class, attractive …
ANGELINA JOLIE is stupid, vulgar, superficial, tattooed like a Trucker
Angelina Jolie’s remark does not mean anything … she must develop her idea with evidence…
By cons, we have some evidence that, ANGELINA JOLIE IS A BITCH DISGUISED AS A RESPECTABLE MOTHER…
bubulle,
french healthcare is exactly what americans are afraid of. yes, it may be “efficient” as many french i know are amputated at first sight, overmedicated or otherwise surgically deconstructed on a single diagnosis. but the quality is terrible! i can say this after three years in france. currently, my boyfriend and i must drive an extra 40mins to switzerland to obtain private and high quality care. americans are not denied access to the hospital if they are not covered. they just receive sub-optimal care and no preventitive screenings. i believe a very basic health care package should be given to non-insured but a socilaizing of medicine a la france would destroy the medical quality across the board and limit medical advancements for the world.
“all about education and rehab”?.. she has a high school degree and serious addiction/weight issues. plus, her own kids do not appear to be getting schooled much unless home, er ‘jet’ schooled.
“welfare and handouts”.. is that not what she does each time she has photographers snapping giving a check to her own private charity group?
‘Obama is all about smoke and mirrors?’
And I guess Brangelina is the real deal uh?
I am not team Obama. Don’t let the Health Care reform fool anyone. Everyone will pay dearly in taxes just like Europe does. Nothing is for free. Its just PR stories because that Authors book is coming out in 7 days. This should get very interesting..
Canada has universal health care, it is not the greatest system in the world, however, my mother did not die bankrupt, or have to make the difficult choices of paying her mortgage, paying for treatments because she had no insurance. We do not consider Socialism a dirty word matter of fact 16 percent of Canadians would heartily admit to being one. We love your President and are jealous because our Bushwannabee is a jerk. As for La Jolie..I don’t believe so, I’m with Firestater and the rest of the happy gang on this one..hey there Kevin..you’re one cool, laughing dude
Firestarter, if you’re pourin’, I’ll take a glass o’ Cab. I know it’s early, but it’s warm and goes down easy.
Anyhoo….Obama, like all leaders, is going to judged by how well he delivers on his promises and how he responds to crises.
Is he an empty suit, all smoke and mirrors? Time will tell.
THIS IS A LIE. REMEMBER THIS IS US WEEKLY REPORTING. Us Weekly still fabricates stories and they have an agenda against Angelina.
All the more reason to like Jolie.
as far as i am concerned, angy is just a nuisance making a comment..who cares abt what she says anyway. nonesense
@Tess- I am stocked, so Cab it is. Never too early for a bracer and it’s Thanksgiving tomorrow so drink up!
*raises glass*
Who cares what she thinks. She can afford the best health care in the world when there are people right here in America who work for $18/h but have no health coverage.
@Firestarter:
Cheers!!!!
Well said Anonymous. We are on the same page.
Crap.. i didn’t know that a lot of schooled, professional middle americans believe in every tabloids magazine out there that is blaming everything to Angelina Jolie, what’s next GLOBAL WARMING. Don’t you got a brain people????
Anonymous—-well said!!!
And Yay—Global Warming theories are about to be scrutinized big time. Lots of funny numbers….
Is Cheyenne aware of the new location for Brangeloonie headquarters?
http://sickitten.com/2009/11/25/i-mentioned-brageloonies-new-headquarters-last-week.aspx
yeah, I think I’ve seen her over there.
Jules- You are something else! I hope you keep your pretentious a$$ in France. I love that Americans- “just recieve sub-optimal care…”” I work in healthcare and my husband is a doctor, my mother a nurse, so I can tell you that you have no idea about healthcare in the USA. Since you can afford ” high quality” healthcare perhaps you should make an appointment with a proctologist to remove whatever is up your a$$.
Ursula he is about smoke and mirrors. Go and read the NY Times about the thirty thousand more troops he’s going to send to Afghanistan.
And this man has just received a Nobel Peace prize?
Cheyenne and other Angie fans- Perhaps you should not call bullshit on this story, because it would seem that the story is making more people like her than is the usual consensus.
I have to say, this has even made me warm to her a bit.
Also, I do not know why, but I like the picture of her at the top. I always have. It makes her looks normal, human and like she is actually happy or something.
Meow, perhaps you should re-read her post. I don’t think she meant what you think she means.
Aspen- unless Jules meant it as satire, then I can relate, otherwise Jules is what is a part of what is wrong with the world .
She is a liar!
She steals men!
Boycott their movies!
TaylorB; lucy2.
People on entertainment blogs usually like to say (Insert entertainers name here) should just shut up and entertain. While they may have nothing to do with me, it gets old after a while.
Yes, I’m aware that many celebs (Madonna) think they’re opinion is more important just because they’re famous, but you know what they say about opinions, even famous ones, being like assholes. I guess I’m one of those few who WANT to know about celebs (that I like, and there aren’t many) outside of the entertainment aspect of it all.
And TaylorB, if “twit” in the cubicle doesn’t apply to you, why take umbrage. If it doesn’t apply, let it fly. I can see from the comments that this place has better commenters than most, but it seems to end when to comes to politics and Brangelina :-p
I won’t bash Angelina she’s entitled to her opinion. I just don’t care if she likes Obama or not.
The author of the book is crazy IMO and he always looks like he’s 2 mins away from snorting a line of coke. All these stories of going under cover as hair dressers and hospital patients. Micheal Jackson didn’t let just anyone touch his head and hospitals don’t just allow any random person to stand close enough to Brangalina’s room to hear what’s going on. I think he’s a liar.
@Firestarter
I don’t care if more people like her because she ALLEGEDLY hates Obama. The fact is that it’s an unfounded claim from a tabloid. Favorable opinions don’t absolve bullshit. A lie is a lie. I’d rather ppl like her because of her UN work than like her b/c Us Weekly says she hates the President.
Oh calm down Angelinafan1. You take everything so bloody seriously on these Pitt/Jolie threads, it is honestly tiresome. Do try to allow a bit of humor and levity to enter your life, as it really does make the world a happier place to be.
“Angie isn’t Republican, but she thinks Obama is all smoke and mirrors”
A politician isn’t what he claimed to be?! STORY OF THE FUCKING YEAR.
Don’t hate on Angelina she didn’t say that US-Weekly is lying, they are a failing Tabloid looking to move magazines so they do their usual target Angelina Jolie, and lucky for them she has a lunatic father (Jon Voight) willing to sell her name for political purpose.
There is good reason why she hates her own father, he’s a creep.
I so totally agree with Baho and I’m glad to finally hear someone point it out!!
Obama is a married man who doesn’t love Angelina Jolie. She hates him.
And, the Obama family is more popular than Brangelina — especially globally. She hates him.
Obama is more beautiful than Brad Pitt. She, therefore, hates him.
Political difference? What are you talking about? It’s all about LOVE…..
Why would anyone believe this “source”? This is from US Weekly who is wrong about everything else they claim to “report” on celebrities anyway.
OK, I get it, Angelina wanted a Nobel Prize and O got it. That gotta hurt especially if you jump out of bed after having twins to go and do a photo op with some refugees. All O does is have dinner at the state house. Yikes. Poor Angie. Must be crying in her bed right now. Don’t worry baby, there is always next year.
Sadly the comment about more people liking Obama and knowing who he is globally is not true. I would be willing to bet if you took a poll and asked a sampling of people the question of who Obama is and who Jolie is, and what do they do, and who they like better, the majority would like Jolie better AND know who she is.
Has no one ever seen the polls that are done and the American public can barely identify the USA on a world map. People are far more wrapped up in celebrities and their lives than they are in world politics and politicians. Very few high school kids even know who the world leaders are, can read or add. A shocking amount of adults are even worse off.
The general public reads more tabloid news than they do a book that is historically based or a literary classic. FACT!
Lol at Ursula’s “sitting on the face” comment. Best typo ever.
Lol at Ursula’s “sitting on the face” comment. Best typo ever.
@ Baho – “Jesus Christ’s teachings” do NOT say: I am my brother’s keeper.
Jesus was not even around then. It is a question asked by Cain, not a statement.
It is a saying from the Bible’s story of Cain and Abel. After Cain had murdered his brother Abel, God asked him where his brother was. Cain answered, “I know not; am I my brother’s keeper?”
It doesn’t even imply we should be our brother’s keeper. It just says “love your brother”. Big diff.
Don’t blame everything on the “right”. Things aren’t black and white like that. They are in shades of grey.
I stand corrected, gg.
“Tend to my sheep.”
Howzat? 😉
OhHey,
It’s all good. I am sorry if I misunderstood your comment. Personally I don’t much care for politics on a celeb blog, nor entertainment on a political one. As for the Brangelina stuff, I don’t even know how to respond, it is a love/hate thing for some. I don’t really care either way they seem like perfectly nice people, but I sure as h*ll wouldn’t take Jolie, Pitt, or Voights political opinions as anything beyond those of an average voter. To be fair, I am a bit jaded on celeb forays into politics as my fellow Minnesotans elected Jesse ‘the body’ Ventura as Governor. So please take my caution with a grain of salt.
Firestarter: “Has no one ever seen the polls that are done and the American public can barely identify the USA on a world map.”
If memory serves Miss Teen South Carolina aptly proved your point when asked by Aimee Teegarden “Recent polls have shown that a fifth of Americans can’t locate the US on a world map. Why do you think this is?”, it just warms my heart to witness where beauty and brains (or lack there of) collide….
Miss South Carolina Lauren Caitlin Upton
“I personally believe, that U.S. Americans,
are unable to do so,
because uh,
some, people out there, in our nation don’t have maps.
and uh…
I believe that our education like such as in South Africa,
and the Iraq,
everywhere like such as…
and, I believe they should uh,
our education over here,
in the U.S. should help the U.S.
or should help South Africa,
and should help the Iraq and Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future,
for us.”
On the upside, she is pretty… Such as, also. 😉
I’m not buying this. None of the quotes make any sense. Okay, she may not agree with him or like him, but the idea that she “hates him” just doesn’t sound like it’s coming from her. It just sounds like somebody’s using her celebrity to promote a political agenda.
@TaylorB- Haha! Great memory! Perfect example! That was the one time I watched the Miss Teen USA pageant and she was my pick until that cringe worthy moment happened!
@Firestarter
As a fan, of course I’d get upset if people make up shit like this about her. Jolie and Obama are very polarizing. Get used to it. My aunt at Thanksgiving dinner said to me yesterday, “Did you hear Angelina hates Obama?” I had to tell her Us Weekly hates her and not to believe it. People read this shit and believe it as the truth. A lie repeated often enough becomes the truth.
OMGGGGG this is a disaster!! what is obama gonna do??? i mean..I’m pretty sure that he doesn’t have anything else to worry about!! this is he’s BIGGEST PROBLEM!! he should drop everything and try to work things out with Ms.Jolie!! I’m literally Stopped breathing Right now!
I’m sure he’s devastated. Mayhaps the feeling is mutual?
Well, seeing as she hates America, then naturally she’ll hate Obama too. Simple, innit? 😉
I don’t know if she hates obama Or not..but if she does,Then that would be a good reason to like her!!
Jolie doesn’t like the president, well anyone confused enough to screw her own brother for a couple of years is truely the type of person we and our president need to listen to for political and love life advice.
OK, Miss Teen S.C. is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. And I’m way to old to giva a damn about some prepubesent beauty contest, but it is a sad statement that a mother would show just how ignorant and uneducated her child is. Maybe the mothers standard should have been if you can’t get good grades the you can’t be in these contests. My bet is that miss teen S.C. will be making the 6 pm news for something else in her lifetime that will not show her in the best light. After all she can’t put a coherant thought or sentence together.
I don’t remember her ever talking about politics? She only talks about refugees and displaced children. Us Weekly is just trying to stir the pot, again.
Cassandra wrote: “I don’t know if she hates obama Or not..but if she does,Then that would be a good reason to like her!!”
So you base who you like upon who they hate? Interesting choice. Are you aware that the Taliban and Al Queda also hate Pres Obama much like they hated Pres Bush?
Basing your opinions of a person on whom they ‘hate’ is at best childish and at worst dangerous. Please reconsider that as your litmus test for a ‘good person’. Do you honestly, in your gut, feel that the POTUS (be it Obama or Bush) wishes harm upon his fellow citizens? You may not agree with the positions or policies, but do you truely ‘hate’ this person and wish him ill? I doubt it.
hey angelinafan–ever stop and wonder if your aunt not only has a good sense of humor, but if she probably brought it up at the dinner table in front of everyone to gain from your rantings?!?! Sounds like family drama/Thanksgiving mischief to me. Wish I had been there to see people snigger in their napkins…
Why should we care what any entertainer or sports figure thinks? Just because they can act, sing or catch a ball does not mean they know anything.
she is a neocon activist who needs to be stopped, she supported the war in Iraq
